Mission Statement
The Information Disclosure Portal is designed to improve non-public information sharing across FDA stakeholders that will support collaboration amongst federal, state, local, territorial and tribal partners. The portal provides resources and tools to FDA internal/external stakeholders who may be involved and/or impacted by state contracts, cooperative agreements, grants and partnership agreements. The portal provides public and private access to FDA information sharing resources to external counterparts to enhance coordination of multi-partner outbreaks, investigations, recalls and other regulatory activities.
Who are Information Disclosure Portal members?
The IDP allows engagement with a focused community, providing customizations that increase functionality and reduce administrative burden on both sides for information sharing.
An independent .org website provides public information and a valid gateway into the portal for external users with appropriate credentials. The site is managed by FDA staff with support from the tech team to ensure rapid information delivery as needed.
IDP will be able to fully control member management and rules of access. This means a more stringent set of controls of access to the portal overall and potential for expanded information sharing with partners previously unable to receive information from FDA due to state disclosure laws.
